Jordan Hall decommitted from Miami of Ohio on Thursday, two days before his Ohio State visit

The Cincinnati Princeton running back reopened his recruitment on September 3 and said the decision comes in the winter. The visit to Columbus is still on for Saturday, Ohio State still has not offered him, and the composite ranking three outlets quoted this week is not the one on his player page today.

Which games he is out of: the OHSAA's Tim Stried, via Cincinnati Enquirer, Dave Clark, August 27, 2026, with the infractions report via Dayton Daily News, Steven Wright, August 27, 2026, who printed "he will miss the first two games of the regular season". The dates are Wayne's first two scheduled games of 2026, which is what that clause names.

One of those nights was the same game: Sierra Canyon at Chaminade-Madonna. Two board schools, one field, so that result is counted once for each of them.

Jordan Hall is visiting Ohio State on September 5, and the Buckeyes have not offered him

The Cincinnati Princeton running back is committed to Miami (Ohio). He rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns and caught an 88-yard touchdown against Moeller on August 20, then five schools offered him in the next five days. Ohio State was not one of them. He is the first new 2027 running back name on this beat since David Gabriel Georges chose Tennessee on July 22.

Ohio State's 4 pledges for 2028, newest first

Every one of the 4 commits is listed differently by different services on position, height and weight, or high school, so the 2028 board prints every outlet's answer beside the others instead of picking one. None of the 2027 totals above include them.

Quick answers: the rest of the 2027 board

The boards above name every man who has said yes. These are the three questions they do not answer: what the 2027 class has not filled, who is still being recruited, and who chose somewhere else. All three read off the same commit board.

What positions does Ohio State still need in its 2027 class?

As of the last board update, the class has no commit yet at running back and tight end. Where the class stands position by position, with the targets still on the board at each spot, is broken out on the 2027 recruiting needs page. We do not project how many players Ohio State signs at each position; that is the staff's call, not ours to guess.

Who is Ohio State still recruiting for 2027?

Standing flip targets: Benny Easter Jr., Nigel Newkirk and Gabriel Osborne Jr. Each target is tracked with the outlet that reported it on the commit board watch list.

Who did Ohio State miss or lose in its 2027 recruiting class?

9 recruits Ohio State hosted or pursued for 2027 chose other schools: Monsanna Torbert Jr. (Michigan), Jayden Miles (Florida State), Blake Wong (BYU), Kaylon Bailey (Colorado), Trae Taylor (Nebraska), Colton Johnson (Ole Miss), Monshun Sales (Indiana), David Gabriel Georges (Tennessee) and Brayton Feister (Oregon). The highest-rated was Monshun Sales, a 5-star wide receiver, who chose Indiana. Rating: Eleven Warriors, Chase Brown, July 17, 2026. Reporting: Eleven Warriors, July 17, 2026; Inside the Hall, July 17, 2026. Each is listed with the outlet that reported it on the commit board watch list.
